Our pupil admission number is 60 which means we have 2 classes for every year group. All admissions for reception to Y6 are co-ordinated by the local authority.

Parents can now apply for places in reception and secondary school.

Deadlines for making an application –

Secondary 31st October 2015

Primary 15th January 2016

The school processes applications for nursery.

We offer 39 places in the morning and 26 in the afternoon. Please note that ratios in school nurseries are 1 to 13.This is higher than those in private nurseries or day care providers. We therefore have a teacher and 2 teaching assistants in the morning and a teacher and one teaching assistant in the afternoon. Sometimes this can be a shock to parents who are used to seeing a lot of staff at private nurseries.

Children can start nursery the term after their 3rd birthday (September, January and April start dates) if places are available. It may not always be appropriate for children to start the term after they are 3 if they need greater adult support. Parents can defer a start date after consultation with the nursery teacher or SENCo. Children with identified additional needs will receive additional suuport and will have an individual education plan or a personal care plan.

Parents can register an interest for a nursery place at any age. Should there be a greater number of applications than places available then criteria will be applied:

  • Children looked after by the local authority, have been adopted, have a residence order or special guardianship.
  • Have exceptional medical or social needs
  • Have siblings in school
  • Proximity to school
